No Elf on the Shelf

Elf on the Shelf is a little story that comes with a small elf that "watches over the children to make sure they're being good" during the Advent calendar. So participating kids should necessarily get paranoid that they're constantly being watched, ensuring they're behaving themselves. My hunch would be any child who suddenly discovers he's no longer under observation might ... act out a bit.

Anybody ever feel that some programs were just better before they were "improved?" Facebook, Twitter, e-mail servers, not to mention new versions of web browsers and of course computer operating systems. And now you've got problems when your phone has to update its operating system, too - - and of course it's buggy and glitchy and half your existing stuff doesn't run well with the new specs. .... pooof! just blew my top.
