Give Blood, Play Hockey Act III, sc. i

I always wondered what Mr. Minestrone would do if he ran out of smokes. A nuclear meltdown seems about right. It works out in his favour this time, what do you suppose you win for being the "Fan of the Game?" Here's a spoiler alert, I didn't write anything ... so ... I guess that part is up to your imagination.

Also, here's a shout out to some great folks who've followed along on the Spring Chickens Facebook Page. You can join it too by just following the link and clicking the Like button, or Follow button, or whatever it is these days. It's a fairly private affair with basically NOBODY who likes it, so, consider it a very exclusive membership ;)

That being said, do take the time to visit the rowdy The Adventures of Mike and Mark, simply vulgar Ubertool by Mark Glavin, Matt Cole's fantastic Jabaru, the dark and twisted Hat and Fat by Eric Crowe, and the forcefully artistic A Fair Trade by Derek Egy. Lots of good stuff to find at their sites. Well worth the visit!

Dude? that's She-Mullet. She has a mullet ... and fittingly, a I (Heart) Rush t-shirt. Classic ensemble.

Woops my mistake - too focused on the Rush t shirt to notice gender there lol Jaye loves Rush, she would heartily approve

It's ok, she's even more androgynous in person.

What I like about this is that it illustrates how pure rage wins out over excitement and joy. Dark side of the force type stuff, which I'm all about.

Agreed. I was interested in how
those sports cams always catch such a brief moment of someone's life, always WAY out of context.
Plus, how completely different emotions can appear very similar at a cursory glance. Glad it worked.

His expression in that last panel cracks me up every time I look at it! Super stuff.

Thanks, Pete. He's just fuming that he can't get his hands on another smoke. I like how She-Mullet recklessly provokes him, too :)

Haha.... great ending!

Is that Leo I spy in the the audience?

And Matt is right.... I do love a bit of Rush. Nothing like Tom Sawyer when you are cleaning the house but still pretending to be rock and roll about it.

Flippin Heck! I don't know how I missed that before! Doh! If that's not Leo that is most definitely his doppleganger! Really awesome Ryan - you did a great job on him. Really cool to see him in someone else's comic - I'm made up :)

Everybody got a little shout-out in the text at the bottom, too ;)
Glad you thought he looks good, I wonder sometimes.

He looks brilliant - I love that his foam hand matches the colour/design of the pendant! Really nice touch - thanks very much dude - really appreciate it :)
